Lol, this is EXACTLY what it feels like to write on a social network, especially once you get enough traction for thousands of people to read your posts. I was recently heckled by literally hundreds of people because a Tweet from 2011 about protests in went viral in September 2022 and many thought I got the facts or context wrong v.redd.it/rwikz87ywez91

OK. I deactivated two Twitter accounts. The first deletion was easy, it was for my visionary ecofiction publishing company and we mostly use our Facebook page anyway, so no big deal. The second was my personal account. At its peak the account had about 12,000 followers and many, many curated lists. I opened the account in 2011, my second go around with Twitter. You know what? I actually had to grieve for a moment before I let go the personal account. I guess it meant more to me to connect and to curate in that way than I had realized. But, on now having done it (ripping off the bandaid), it feels easy, natural and free. Onward!
