I've been looking for a new tool for managing my social media scheduling etc. that supports #Mastodon. I've been on #Hootsuite for ever, and I've used #Buffer in the past too. #Buffer announced support for Mastodon so I had a look there. I had issues with tagging #LinkedIn posts on Buffer, the main target for my scheduled posts, so that was out. I was tagged in a comment recommending #SocialChamp so I thought I'd take a look.

Social Champ, so far, is great. The free tier (that I'm in at the moment whilst I trial the system) is way better than Buffer's offering. Not only do tags work properly, but there are no limitations other than the number of social accounts you can connect and the number of account users. Not everything's perfect, and I've provided feedback directly to Social Champ on this, however Mastodon posts are limited to 500 characters and the mobile app needs some attention.

Well worth a look.
