Is anyone addressing the radical collapse of city-centre shopping and hence blooming of shut-shop, empty-unit deserts?

Because it really doesn't feel like there's any thought.

I feel like they need to rope some #Sociologists into the mix.

Meanwhile, why not zone those empty units for things you can't buy off Amazon: tattoo parlours, ice rinks, axe-throwing alleys, TikTok/YouTube - friendly studios?

Hell, let's stick nightclubs in them!

I don't think a lot of people realise how they are being manipulated to buy from the evil industrial conglomerate aka the #Forbes500.
There are many methods, for instance subliminal messages incorporated in TV series for kids, child programs at #Nickelodeon are used for this as you will see in this #docu.
The industry uses #psychologists and #sociologists to manipulate #parents into buying products for their kids.
#PR #marketing firms use many different tricks to make you buy for instance #iPad #iPhone or other products attacking weak spots in your personality.
For parents it is most of the time their kids.

Another Monday in my life. Reading the daily news makes me sad, what I see is a complete degradation of morals and #ethics in Mankind. The world as shown in the corporate #media is completely controlled by #multinationals, #hedgefunds, #shareholders, IMHO the 1% represent the scum of this Earth.

These people don't give a damn about Earth, #poverty, or don't care for people as a whole.
The only thing they really see and want is $$$$$$$$.
But why don't all people see that, and react to it?
Well, money can hire #psychologists, #PR, #marketing, #sociologists and so on to spread a monumentous lie like #Hitler and #Goebbels did before. Nowadays we have lies like "we are winning the war on poverty", #malaria and so on.
The stories told might sound appealing to the ear, but reality shows most of us something else.
Instead of uniting against the 1% who #parasite on the majority, most of us are easily fooled.
Corporate Ads appeal to the subconscious want in all of us.
When we want something we have to agree to the terms and conditions they offer us.
And since it was always like this we can take it or leave it.
Its all based on the predatory principle of #capitalism and EGO.
Greed has brought us #climate change, new diseases, #pollution, species going extinct,
Walter Palmer the lion killer ( killing for fun or the excitement).
Greed has brought us corruption in all levels of society, famine, toxic food, McDonalds, KFC.
Taste enhancers make shitty food taste nice, with the help of scientists who invented them, making them just the same as their employers.
Since Pasteur managed to weaken the natural immune system by discovering peniciline, antibiotics found their way into our society weakening the natural immune system even more.
And the tred mill goes on and on. New medicine has to be invented to solve the problems we face in the 21st century.
CRISPR is the new magic word now.
We have to manipulate bacteria, find solutions to viruses, pollution, air quality, skin diseases, and all kinds of new diseases.
Is there a way out?
There might be a way out, but that would need a profound change of paradigm.
We could start with laws prohibiting multinationals to fund political campaigns, money out of #politics, raise the taxes on the rich (RobinHood tax) and use these taxes for the benefit of all.
We can disown multinationals, banks, shareholders, accountants, lawyers, politicians who evade taxes or were involved in #corruption, grab all their assets to be used for all, animals and humans alike.
We could support free science again, dismantle the whole corrupt patent system.
Possibilities or an utopia?.
But when it comes to taking the necessary steps we have always failed in the last 5000 years.
Not bc people didn't want to!

But as long as stupidity and greed rule, my personal belief is that we will go extinct within a century.
