In times when distributed systems are (becoming) the norm, #ACID in it's original form as a promise for data consistency has indeed mostly outlived its usefulness.

This may go by other names, but when projects and technology meet, it's a danger sign when we're not sure of the approach or the solution. 226 followers · 549 posts · Server cloudisland.nzSeeing some claims that “RFCs are a more comprehensive solution than Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) etc” which seems like a weird angle to take, since the average software engineer wouldn’t be able to tell the difference and the quality of output for both RFCs and ADRs is entirely contingent on the quality of the input and thought that goes into writing and discussion. #SoftwareArchitecture #documentation #RFCs
