Another old game: What Remains On Copper Island.

It's a free solo game, written as one really long markdown page; kind of like a choose your own adventure game with dice rolls. You explore and move between locations on a timer. Best read in the browser. Everything you need is on one page.

It was a fun experiment but a lot of work; I'll probably never make anything like it again.

On the train I played a game of Pilgrimage of the Sun Guard, which I'd previously play tested but hadn't played the final version. It's a chill journaling game kind of reminiscent of Arthurian questing with an emphasis on what you do to succeed rather than if you succeed. It's such a gorgeous book. I might write up my playthrough later.

Played my first #Solovember game last night with an old favourite: Thousand Year Old Vampire.

It didn't quite gel like my first playthrough, but Eloise (later Lorelei) was an interesting character to inhabit for an evening. An artistically-inclined peasant from the south of what-would-become-France, she was turned by an older vampire trying to get back at her fiance for reasons that never surfaced.
