I love the work of Klimt; he is one of my favourite artists. But every time I see a sale like this, I can’t help but come back to the same question: is any painting—no matter what quality, creativity, size, subject or historical background—worth that amount of money?

On the upcoming 27. June, Gustav Klimt's very last #painting "Dame mit Fächer" (Lady with Fan) will go to #auction in Sotheby's.
They are suggesting an estimate of £65m (€76m, $82m).
That's the highest pitch ever made in #Europe!
Personally, I like this one much better than the "Adele Bloch-Bauer I" painting, or "The Kiss".
