I'm never quite sure what the mountain range is that one can see from the Wellington south coast - quick search and voilà, they are the Kaikoura Mountains - on the left are the Seaward Kaikouras, in the centre is Mount Tapuae-o-Uenuku (9,465 feet), the highest peak of the Inland Kaikouras.

I love receiving #ChristmasCards. However, every now and then I receive a card that just makes me #smile and appreciate the work that has gone into it. A very good friend of mine moved away to the #SouthIsland for work in early October. She couldn’t remember my address and asked me a couple of weeks ago, but I didn’t think anything of it. About 10 minutes ago, I received a letter in the post. I opened it up and received an #amazing Christmas card. This was in #Braille, but not in Braille created by an Embosser or a Perkins. This was hand designed using glitter, and would have taken awhile for her to put together, as she isn’t a Braille user herself. This is the second time she has done something like this. Couple of years ago she baked me an incredible apple pie, and wrote Braille in the pastry. This has definitely made my day. When I asked her how she did this when creating the Apple pie, she looked it up online, studied it, and took #photo, so she could practice to make sure she had all the dots in the right place. #ThankYou #Accessible #Christmas #GoingTheExtraMile
