#Protip for when you need an extra #generalist on your #software team but only have #specialists:

1. Pick a specialist who seems able to do the generalist job
2. Assign all their specialist work to generalists who don't know how to do it
3. Assign the specialist your generalist tasks

This works because the generalist from 2 will "complete" the work by handing it back to the specialist, but you ALSO have the specialist on the hook for another person-worth of generalist work. Problem solved!
