A 2004 commenter referred to the 18th century English word “asynchronous” as “clever Microsoft jargon” as if this word was amazingly confusing and invented on the spot for just this one use case. ☠️

Sure, but the new app doesn’t run in an XP virtual machine because Chromium (rightfully!) stopped supporting XP, so build it and pray it works, I guess? Even more Rube Goldberg machine to deliver EXEs from the VM to the main machine for testing?
