Came across a paper reporting increased RBC carbonic anhydrase activity after training at high altitude in cold temperature (1). This is remarkable since human CA II already has an extremely high turnover number (2). Unfortunately paper (1) has a lot of what seem to be translation errors.

There is a 3-step passion project I’ve planned to study #transgender #youth participation in #sports, and their associated #mentalhealth outcomes.
Funny thing is, I seem to always overcommit to other research projects, and slowly I feel like my spare time is only used to meet deadlines for abstract and grant proposal submissions.
I’m going to have to finally learn to say ‘no’ or else I’ll never start doing these projects that are much needed 🙃
