This [1] comment on the orange site is a good one. As a Staff Engineer and tech lead I can relate to being a product manager. My job often involves listening to questions from engineers and, rather than answering what they asked, figuring out what they _actually_ want to do (which may not be what they asked or thought).

This also involves a fair bit of guiding how to ask good questions [2].

Yesterday (Monday) I came back to work after a 2-day off.

I had to answer 16 private messages on Slack and had 7 hours of meetings in total. I haven’t had a chance to take a look at my to-do list which includes reviewing 2 RFCs and updating one of mine. That’s my #softwarearchitect / #softwaredesign archetype as #staffengineer folks.

@andrasbacsai I can relate - being the #consultant or #softwarearchict / #staffengineer archetype is complicated. I have more than 5 hours of meetings in total and will start my day with more or less 7 new DMs on Slack. Maybe I am the CEO and didn’t notice
