For those that have been running iOS17 betas , how does the smart rotate feature work when using Standby Mode. I have 4 widgets selected on right side of screen & smart rotate switched on. Regardless , the widgets have never moved to the next. Am I missing something here ?

The new Standby feature coming to iOS17 really is a great addition. I have it set to different faces depending on which room/magsafe charger it’s on. This is my living room & only want to see the time.

The new Stand by feature on #IOS17 seems very buggy for me on my #iPhone14ProMax

1st time I put on Apple MagSafe charger (Horizontal) it came on straight away.

Have tried a couple of times since & just won’t come on. Unless I’m missing something , this requires some more work.

Yes Yes ……it’s a beta.

This weekend I had the urge to play #VideoGames. I was too lazy to fix the #Windows dual-boot. So I did this:

- install the #Nvidia driver on my #arch -powered laptop
- realise I also want to use the onboard #Intel card for power saving reasons
- played around with nvidia prime to offload apps to the nvidia card
- realise #standby / #resume does not work properly any more
- said f**k it, I'd rather fix dualboot
- installed windows 11

Was it fun? Did I learn something? Did I play my games?

Stromkosten steigen, Zeit sich mit den #Standby-Verbräuchen auseinanderzusetzen. Nachdem ich ja eine verspielte Natur bin, habe ich mal #Smarthome mit Home Assistant am #RaspberryPi ausprobiert. Jetzt wird der Fernsehaltar des Nächtens vom Strom genommen. Super auch der Frient-Stecker: der mißt gleich den Stromverbrauch. Da sieht man schön, wieviel im Standby verbraucht wird. Informativ!
