A would-be King of England and his army, turned to stone by a witch: The King Stone stands apart from the rest, his soldiers in a great ring. Three knights huddle together, whispering treason, or perhaps prayers. The witch's rhyme is in the screenshot.
The Whispering Knights are the remains of a Neolithic chambered tomb.
Visited January 2010.

Good morning from my abandoned vineyard in Bugey France. On the three hectares there are #standingstones which mark the boundaries between the 21 parcels of land which form the property. Typical Napoleonic style land division through the ages. It’s difficult to date them but they are noted as dots on the oldest map I have which is from 1805 so older than that. Does anyone know a method of dating such features? I give them names so one is the marmot. Spot him?
