I'm sceptical about the effectiveness of petitions, but if you liked #StarTrekProdigy and you're frustrated that it's been cancelled, it can't hurt to try one. https://www.change.org/p/save-star-trek-prodigy

If you never tried Prodigy, or bailed early, I really recommend trying it / sticking with it a few episodes into the first season. It really picks up steam, and does connect to the main Trek canon later. Is it mainly aimed at kids? Yes, and your tolerance for that may vary, but I quite enjoyed it.

Well said. #ParamountMinus #StarTrekProdigy is a mistake full stop. Not renewing a show is one thing, yeeting from the official #StarTrek catalog unfinished, unaired, can only be from market speak: an artificial increase of short term market value while losing all future value & past investments.

CGI shows aren't cheap, but some of their costs scale over time. Upfront asset creation, a huge cost for every new show.

@dawngreeter @dan_ballard @pluralistic One of the shows that disappeared was a #startrek show, specifically #StarTrekProdigy . Worse yet, it was pulled as post-production on season 2 was coming to an end.

We don't know for sure whether the show's going to find a new home where season 2 will be shown, if season 2 will go direct-to-video, or if season 2 is going to be thrown into a bonfire as a sacrifice to the god of capitalism like Willow and Batgirl.
