I watched episode 1 yesterday, and I'm still haunted by the evil magnetic entity, trapped by itself for 300 million years in the insectoid pod ship, now trapped again on the collapsed star, begging not to be left alone again.

Kirk calmly orders the Enterprise to continue on to it's survey mission. 😳
