So, I've assembled the following things so far for upcoming #Pride events:

• A trans & #bi coloured butterfly cape.

Things I still maybe want to buy.

• Pride gloves of some kind (maybe fishnet).

• Pretty pride top / dress combo or dress.

There are good cost / benefit / direction reasons to be in or not be in an equality programme such as #StonewallUK and I've been involved in such decisions in the past. Membership should be decided on what would be best for #LGBT+ equalities in the institution, not external pressure or #transphobia #biphobia or #homophobia Glad to see students at #LSE questioning a recent decision and wanting transparency.

"Kemi Badenoch notified the Commons on Monday of plans to update the list of approved countries and territories whose gender recognition certificates … are automatically recognised by UK officials.

"She suggested that reciprocal recognition would be withdrawn from places “where there is a clear indication that the country now no longer has a system at least as rigorous as those in the Gender Recognition Act 2004”."

Meanwhile a deadline is approaching for Westminster to decide whether to prevent Scotland's legislatively approved gender recognition act from receiving royal assent, and Wales is planning to seek powers to introduce a bill similar to Holyrood's.

BTW am still helping a young #Afghan #gay male find a way out of Pakistan where he is a refugee. If anyone wants to help support his rent (100 USD) and visa renewal (250 USD) until we are able to find a visa for him elsewhere please let me know. And no not one LGBTQ+ org has helped him including #ILGA, #RainbowRailroad #StonewallUK etc... It'll be a year in a couple of months and he has been on the BBC and in Pink News as he is a well-known activist.

The issue is the trans issue. The tweet was by @ArtyBagger on 23.7.22 over #StonewallUK tweet abt nursery education. Her tweet+the Stonewall tweet can be Googled. The point I am raising is not related to the substance of the tweets/the issue itself, but Gibb’s public reply which was was not #impartial: "You speak for us all Muriel." [9:57 PM · Jul 23, 2022·Twitter for iPhone] Whatever anyone's views on subject she raised+rules for #bbc non-execs,I can't imagine #BBC employee tweeting this reply.

I’m curious about why they only asked about attitudes towards people who are L, G, B and T – without going into the ‘+’ or breaking things down differently

It also struck me as unfortunate that respondents were (I presume) only given two gender options!
