Let's change the UK national speed limit. Cheap and easy to do. As of 1st Jan 2025 nobody can exceed 55mph. Motorways, dual carriageways, A roads become quieter, more fuel efficient, safer. Vehicles need fewer repairs. Journey times at peak periods would barely be affected.

Why not? Because oil owns our decision makers whatever party they might worship.

The average global temperature in 2022 was 1.2C higher than the average across pre-industrial period.

Climate scientists said by early 2030s we will reach 1.5C higher. We’re very close to the Paris agreement’s cut-off of 1.5C of warming. We are on borrowed time & time is running out. We must do everything we can to stop oil & gas & reduce carbon emissions.
