Communication and more broadly nutrients for people are lubricant and fuels for an society/economy. Money is just a #StoreOfValue, a #StoreOfProofOfWork. You can use that or you can use your labour to trade. We don't strictly need money but most people find it helpful.

What bitcoin does is monetizes two things found in #nature; energy and #entropy (a physics word for #randomness).
