Sadly, many interesting older movies are getting hard to watch these days, especially on streaming services, due to the unfavorable reviews by critics, or some actors who are no longer welcome in the movie business (for any reason).
It is one more reason to keep your movie collection on physical media.

I prefer to own all my #Music, thank you very much.
I don't trust #StreamingServices to be able to keep my music forever. Just look at what's happened to #Netflix & Co.
The only reason I even own a pair of #BluetoothHeadphones is that my phone doesn't have a 3.5mm jack

Re last: I know I'm paranoid, but remember that all the books you read, all the music you listen on streaming services, all the podcast episodes, all the movies you buy and "download" (in quotes, for my blind fellows) for offline use from services like Amazon, — all those are not yours. No one will prevent, say, Spotify or Amazon from removing the particular podcast episode you wanted to re-listen, from replacing a studio version with a concert one (I know one such case in real life where Spotify replaced a studio version of an Abba song with a concert one), from prohibiting a series or an episode thereof in your country for some stupid reason. That said, if you really want something, keep buying hard copies (yes, ladies and gentlemen, CD's and DVD's in 2022!) or at least downloadable files like MP3 at Amazon that you can download and store somewhere secure, preferably with backup. I'm nearly not anti-capitalist and I don't say "Stop using streaming services!". But if you like a group, a book, a movie, a podcast and, the most important, want to keep it for future re-reading/re-listening/re-watching, please consider my concerns about streaming services. #StreamingServices #Music #Podcasts #Movies #ITParanoia
