Can't help feeling that it must be some other part of Greater Manchester's turn to be cut off from shops, hospitals and friends next year. I shan't hold my breath, the media fallout from the outcry should Chorlton or Didsbury be so inconvenienced for a whole day would be immense.

Transport for Greater Manchester s servers evidently can't cope with the traffic of people trying to find out if/when their next bus is today. The arterial roads into Trafford from the city centre are closed for the Manchester Marathon which means that not only are the buses to and from Manchester not running or diverted but also buses from Stockport, Altrincham and the airport to the Trafford Centre.

Just to make it easy, there are no buses in Stretford all day.

Today I was rough,
Tempted to sack the day off.
Still, loaded tools,
And went to #Stretford #RepairCafe.
Did a few repairs,
It was a good busy session.
Went on to Chorlton,
And picked up some books.
Home and dozed on the sofa,
Then decided to go to bed.
Slept until dinner time,
Then watched a little YouTube.
Read a bit,
WHile the TV was on.
Going back to bed now,
#NightAll.

Today we packed all the tools,
And went to #Stretford #RepairCafe.
Not a lot of success today,
Not enough volunteers.
Did get to #ChorltonBookshop,
And picked up some more books.
Took Dad to visit Mum in hospital,
She is doing well.
Out to caretaking job,
Installing lots of window restraints.
Also adjusted a door closer,
So now it closes and locks.
Not having a good day,
Feeling drained.
Watched a little YouTube,
And had pizza for dinner.
Going to bed,
Night all.

Today we cleaned the church and hall,
Then did some trade shopping online.
Took Dad to visit Mum in hospital,
And did a load of emails.
Popped to ToolStation,
Then over to ScrewFix.
Sent more emails,
And did some admin.
Had a meds delivery,
Not happy about driver smoking at my door.
Did caretaking,
And more admin.
Checked on Dad,
And caught up with YouTube.
