@magalhini UK towns got this right in the 70s. Pedestrianised town centre, with multistorey car parks fed by an inner distribution road, and a bypass for traffic going elsewhere. Take a look at any midsized town on Google Maps. People here take it for granted. See also #Stroads. Tucson has miles and miles of marked bike lanes on its miles and miles of #stroads. Very few cyclists use them. Tucson does have residential streets marked as bike corridors. It’s one solution but not optimal. The city needs protected bike lanes or dedicated bike paths.

So glad my polling place is now a few blocks of an easy #walk away. Before it was 5 times farther away in a place that was a pain to walk to with disappearing sidewalks and multiple dangerous drivers on the #streets. #Stroads, really.
