强烈推荐The Exiles，今年Sundance上映的纪录片，电影起源于“六四”事发后学生领袖流亡到美国，纪录片导演Christine Choy被邀请去拍摄这些人在美国的日常生活和采访，拍了50卷胶片之后因为没钱而不了了之。当时她觉得这些影像对她而言没有太大的含义，因为她并没有身处天安门广场中，并且以为这事情很快会被解决。然而27年过去了，这些人没有一个可以回国，2017年她还在国内拍片，采访一些年轻人时，几乎没人知道“六四”的事情。于是她意识到事情的严重性，并决定把这些旧影片找出来，并找到其中的三个人，吾尔开希，严家其和万润南，一边回顾一边采访。这个纪录片除了回顾一些“六四”流亡人士的历史影像之外，我觉得更多的是Christine Choy在这件事上所展现出的世界观和人生态度，以及为什么要拍纪录片。非常喜欢她，老太太在NYU上课都能烟酒不离，常常语出惊人但直中要害，个人魅力简直无敌。How do you empower the spectator, How do you give them the information they don’t normally receive?
