After all, it was #greed and the pursuit of short-term #profit that led to #dependence on autocratic states. It wouldn’t have been impossible to make semiconductors in the USA or Europe, I think reading an article in #ForeignPolicy by Larry Diamond:„The greatest threat by far is from the world’s most powerful autocracy, China. It’s not the democracies of Asia, Europe … that threaten the security of U.S. supply chains for strategic minerals, semiconductors and so on.“ #supplychains #decoupling
