The last several weeks I've had to keep constantly switching #NordVPN servers to sustain significant activity on my phone, and I've just had enough of it now, so the last few days relied on my backup #RiseupVPN free option, with a single server over in Paris, France (lol) but it's *flying* and I've been using the web and apps loading without stalling interruptions. Only a temporary fix, of course. Will probably switch to #Surfshark when my #VPN renewal comes up. No idea why Nord deteriorated so much in recent months.

Even terug komend op dit plaatje dat ik vanmorgen postte. Het was dus echt. Het is wel de vraag wat het exact zegt. Ik logde namelijk zelf in en was verbonden via #Surfshark #VPN. Ik was volgens SurfShark verbonden met Finland. Google zag echter een locatie in Rusland. Bij controle van mijn IP kwam ik zelf in Japan uit. Nu gebeurt dat heel vaak bij VPN en is op zich goed voor je privacy, maar toch, die vermelding van Sint Petersburg deed me toch even opspringen.

Internet outage is most probably a time when #Surfshark would all of a sudden fail thereby exposing the IP address of the user.

I fucking hate #SurfShark. It was one of the worst purchases I've made in recent history. At the same time, I have yet to meet someone happy with their VPN provider and I'm admittedly too ignorant to figure out how to setup my own. Because I'm ignorant is the reason why I buy endpoint protection. Now I spend 90% of my time turning on and off the VPN to troubleshoot shoot loading issues with apps and sites. Den #VPN #Surfshark zu kündigen, ist ja gar nicht so leicht. Ich habe 3 Anläufe gebraucht, und dieses mal alles mit Screenshots dokumentiert. Es geht sowieso nur über den Kundenservice, das ist schon mal sehr verdächtig.
Mal sehen, ob die automatische Verlängerung des Abonnements nun gewünscht ausgeschaltet bleibt.
