forgot to update regularly.
- working on my web app
- using #axum web framework
- for templating picked #askama
- using #TailwindCSS for styling
- for db using #surrealdb
- basic structure is done
- next need to add error handling, tracing
so far enjoying writing #RustLang

since i start with #rust now with all my energy, i need to do some homework. one of which is, a complete #docker course.

we want to be able to dockerize our #SurrealDB later riht?

So something I didn't realize is that the #rust crate for #surrealdb is actually the *entirety* of surrealdb, meaning that if you write an application with it you don't need any external connections, a bit like SQLite or something

This gave me the idea that my #activitypub server (which I have dubbed #megaloceros) should be as self contained as possible, requiring only the server binary and a few environment variables to get running without the need for a postgres server or anything else except a reverse proxy cus TLS is scary

So basically I'm maybe going to write a simple #activitypub server in #rust using #surrealdb as the database just to try some stuff out. That said, I just looked at the spec for the first time and it already seems like a *lot* so uhhhh maybe not lol :blobsweat:
