Tho it's not as if @SUSE and @ubuntu could've made better offerings before, and I still think that unless one has a harsh #Vendor #LockIn #Ubuntu and @opensuse are the better options.
I just wished #SUSE and espechally #Canonical were more commited of building good distros than weird shite like this...
Not that I excuse RedHat from doing an #Oracle #OpenSolaris with #RHEL! @SolarisDiaspora

The only valid move against moves like that of #RedHat and #grsecurity beefore them is to refuse to use, develop for or maintain their systems in protest of it.
Because #RHEL lives off the supoort by 2nd and 3rd parties.
@ubuntu might be a good choice since a lot of corporations that got shafted in the axing of #CentOS 8 are moving to them as they don't paywall #Ubuntu LTS at all.
I think it's important to break apart @redhat 's dominance and the de-facto duopoly with #SUSE.

Not to mention that this is a No-Go for anyone who needs to rely on a system and actually do work with it.
#BigLinux like #RedHat, #SUSE and even @ubuntu got that big because they avoid that shit and offer commercial support.
This is why noone I know of uses #Debian on Desktop in it's basic form, but always some #Distro that adds quality-of-life features like #BunsenLabs, including #Drivers.

And even then most paying customers are Enterprises that glady don't have a toxic lock-in on Microsoft and that want actual support for 5+5 years.
Not to mention it costs 1/4 of #SUSE and 1/8 of #RedHat [as I calculated in one scenario for a small business]...

Cuz I know a lot of professionals that would happily pay $500 p.a. for macOS on better [#Hackintosh] hardware...
