Day 3 clearing the veg bed forked over and weeded around the onions, garlic and shallots - found some French Grey Shallots, aka Griselle, that did nothing last year and just put them in a row - you never know they may do something swipe to see their little white spikes. One of the before and after #flowers and #freefood from #kitchen scraps I enjoy #gardening but this time of year theres a winter lull ,so I spout #foodwaste to make new plants just put the ends of veg in water .they look good inside esp #carrots foliage and you can eat the sprouting leaves I havent tried as I grow them for putting out in the #garden ,the #cabbages and #swede produce #flowers for weeks if not months over #summer ,I use the cabbage for #cutflowers ,but the carrots in situ
