"why don't you use universal access" because i use a side piece appleID on employer-managed devices.

"why not just buy a #KVM" and what? look at one computer at a time like an animal? i prefer 4-5 displays across three physical workstations.

i'm a trackball user and imo the best you can get right now is the #logitech mx ergo.

but it seems to have a very rich social life because if i leave it with the switch on it will lose about half a charge by morning. i am doing some weird things though, the head node at my home offices are my employer-supplied workstation where the trackball and a #moonlander keyboard are hitched up, then via #synergy i can pan and mouse to two other computers - not displays - workstations with displays.

well i think i fixed my #synergy Dock dupes by scratching the ol' #unix beard. couple of LaunchAgents and shell scripts later, i'm currently foreground'ing it in a #tmux pane to hopefully give some clues if it happens again on the synergy server workstation.

when i'm at the home office in #IOW i have a few thunderbolt docks on my desk and i slap my employer-managed machine on the far left where my #moonlander and #mxErgo are plugged in and then everything to the right is one big horizon 😂

ugh #synergy is now occasionally spawning another icon in my dock on my employer-workstation and it's driving me bonkers because you can't quit them and there are no processes associated with them.

if i kill the dock and quit the initial instance of synergy.app i can right-click-quit them all but WHYYYYYY
