Eheheh... I was 5 hours late seeing the announcement for #Macstodon 1.0 as I was at work so I have this. It's a comparison of versions 0.2, 0.3, 0.4.3 and 1.0. Also made it a youtube video so it is much easier(?) to watch ^^;;. First 3 videos are hard to see because I had to shrink them down so whoops.

Would this be a valid candidate for #MARCHintosh too?

I completely forgot about Samsung DeX. My main phone is an S10e, so like the last device with DeX. But I just got a powered USB C hub for my phone and it has 2 HDMI out, VGA out, ethernet, and like 6 more USB ports. I realized I can run Mini vMac on my phone with an Apple keyboard and a mouse. And then I just plugged HDMI from the dock to my monitor, and bam! Macintosh! :)

Does anyone want or need an Apple M0130 Macintosh external disk drive? I acquired it with some random stuff a couple years ago, but no Mac to use it on. lol

It's untested, but appears to be in really good condition. Just needs a wipe down. If you want it let me know. I just want shipping cost and for it go to a good home. 🙂 I can toss in the System 7 Tune Up install disks, too. I have no real need for those without a classic Mac 😂

So, I don't own anything older than a G4. But I think for #Marchintosh I'm going to attempt to get Basilisk II installed on the G4 and then install System 7 from physical media. Just checked all of the disks and they all appear good in OS X.

The iMac backlight is still out, so I'm using an external display.

What to talk about though? Hmm... while looking at the github repo for Macstodon you can compile it from the source code using MacPython. There are OS X versions of MacPython for 10.2 and 10.3 meaning if someone tried hard enough they could port Macstodon to the PowerPC versions of OS X. Too bad there is no MacPython on 10.1 because applets do not work on 10.1
