#Oisin, `the little fawn`, was found as a naked boy of about seven by his father, #FinnMacCool, on the old magic mountain #BenBulbin. He became a warrior-poet of the #Fianna, living 300 years in the land of eternal youth #TírNanÓg.
#Niamh, Princess of the Golden Hair, had fallen in love with #Oisin, who was overtaken on first sight with desire for this lovely woman from the #Otherworld. The beauty with the shining eyes pulled him onto her fine white horse with golden reins. Without a look back #Oisin went over seas and plains and mountains far beyond #Ireland to the Land of Pleasure.
After enjoying life with #Niamh for 3 years, #Oisin returned to #Ireland. When his white horse shied away, he fell to the ground. In a matter of seconds he became old. The poet had been gone for 300 years. The place he returned to was the same but not the same.
