Just read your NAT Traversal article @danderson and it was really good! I was guessing what your next solution would be as I went down the article, getting it right a couple times too. Really informative, thank you for writing it, I'll be putting it to good use with some of my own applications in the future.
Oh and #Tailscale is really cool! Just started using it and I'm very impressed
Ich sammle gerade gute Erfahrungen mit #Tailscale #VPN im semi-professionellen Umfeld. Hat hier jemand Erfahrung wie es sich in kleineren Einheiten schlägt? Also ca. 20 Nutzer, mit Git und co?
Interesting, an open-source variant of the #Tailscale service. Seems to be compatible with the Tailscale clients, only running headless - using #API to manage the network config: https://github.com/juanfont/headscale #vpn

#WritingOnIPad:
I wanted to completely rearrange my #ObsidianMD vault layout (flat, not nested). This would have been slow and cumbersome via the GUI.
I used #TailScale to easily connect to my Mac, #SSH’ed in, and rearranged the vault via command line. (I could have also #VNC’ed in and done so, since Macs have better #FileManagement than iPads.)
Then I committed and pushed my changes to my #git repo and pulled them down on the iPad. All done.

I want to enable remote desktop into my video/audio editing rig, using X2Go as the rdp layer What is the Fedi consensus on #Tailscale. I've tested it once, but didn't have an immediate, use case for it so
At first I thought the #Tailscale stuff was just a lot of hype until I actually tried it. Definitely lives up to the endorsements made for it. If you need a private network among many different devices, I emphatically encourage you to give it a whirl.
Been playing around with #Tailscale recently. Absolutely love it! Only complaint is that it’s a bit buggy with my Synology NAS, but looking at the GitHub Issues that seems to be more of a DSM 7 problem, which is definitely fair.
