Two possibilities:
1) Simon Thompson mislead Parliament
2) Simon Thompson hasn’t a clue what happens in the business of which he’s CEO.

Either way he’s not worth £540,000 a year (plus £140,000 bonus)- more than 23 times the average postie’s salary.
