In this 1975 story, CBS reports that as a legal test of the military's ban on queer servicemembers, Sergeant Leonard Matlovich has come out to his superiors in the Air Force and is going to court, fighting to stay in the military. Includes an interview with Sergeant Matlovich.

He would die in 1988, long before the end of the LGB military ban - another powerful voice lost to AIDS.

TV news #reporters and #presenters ...why can't you get yourselves straight on the difference between systemic and systematic? Maybe the problem is the idiots composing the teleprompter text? If so, can't you make them stop? You sound like idiots when you misuse these words and makes me question everything you say. And along similar lines...moot rhymes with toot. Got it? No, of course you don't. Just because language is the tool you use to do your job is no reason to expect basic competency.

Previous attempts to adapt The Dark Tower didn't really stick the landing, but I have legit loved every piece of work Mike Flanagan has been involved with. He has a very unique way of combining depth and humanity with horror, and at this point, I am eagerly anticipating to consume anything he touches. This is certainly no exception.
