I had a coordinating & getting-to-know meeting to set up some presentations and show-and-tell sessions for the Depts. #DigitalMeetup that happens every #Tuesday. I offered to do short sessions on #TaDiRAH, #Transkribus, #Tropy and #Tesseract during the fall. I'll use the 1678 #Danish translation of the #EthicaComplementoria as an example for #AutomatedTextRecognition of C17th books!

🧵 1/ It's #Wednesday, which means #ResearchSupportPartnershipUiO at the Dept. of Archaeology, Conservation and History again! Today I will be in the History section, catching up on some questions I received via email and drafting a presentation of #TaDiRAH for an upcoming #DigitalMeetup.

Today is one of these days when not even productive procrastination works. So it's only procrastination. Argh. I have to finish a presentation for the Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies at #UiO about #DigitalResearchActivities using the @tadirah #TaDiRAH taxonomy and prep a guest lecture for BA students of #Pedagogy about #DigitalMethods they can use for working w/ (historical) textual sources. Motivation: 0. Hopefully, last-minute hyperfocus will kick in eventually! #Neurodiversity

After a very long day of #ADHO meetings yesterday and a good night's sleep, I'm super excited to dive into the first, proper, packed day of #DH2023 today: #TaDiRAH workshop, #EADH meeting, our own #SPARQL workshop, a visit to the #SIG #DLS workshop, another brief #ADHO meeting and.... dinner! I look forward to see many of you around!

#Monday is when you eat what you promised on #Friday... Due to scheduling conflicts, I had to postpone my visit to the National Library of Norway to next week and suddenly got an **entire** day free of meetings and bookings! Which I will use to prepare a mini show-and-tell session about #HistoricalNetworkAnalysis #HNA using @Gephi and #GephiLite tomorrow and continue working on my #Translation project w/ @tadirah #TaDiRAH #TaDiFAH into Norwegian bokmål and nynorsk.

I had an interesting discussion w/ a researcher working on an overview of digital skills at the Dept. Especially how to approach such an overview. They used the five typical phases of the research process by #TheProgrammingHistorian: ACQUIRE, TRANSFORM, ANALYZE, PRESENT, SUSTAIN. I introduced them to #TaDiRAH taxonomy of digital research activities in the humanities & how this could help to classify further & sort the different digital activities. Good work!
