Face-on views of the "Refinery?".
For the main parts of this build, I used the box part of some cheese packaging (wedge shape), the outer part of a broken charger (small box), and the housing of a TV aerial splitter/booster.

One final photo of this tiny hut.
I found it interesting, while re-painting this, that the moulded texture on the wood is raised and not recessed.
Doesn't hurt how it works with a dry-brush application of paint.
Just one of those things that happens at small scale (1:160 in this case).
Straight on views of each face of the Mech' workshop.
The ladder around the back allow access to the roof. The platform partway up was added to aid gameplay if the miniature's movement wouldn't reach the roof.

Closer views of the upper 2 floors of the broken bell tower.
If it's difficult for you to get to your bed, it's difficult for someone to interfere with it.

I designed these boxes to be hollow so that you could leave a side off and fill it with stuff.
The sides are also thin enough to be "damaged" by a hobby knife or clippers.
But they are sturdy enough for gaming purposes.
And the moulded texture makes them easy to paint with a base coat, wash and dry-brush... or even those fancy contrast paint things.

Some close up views of this side of the broken statue piece.
While the barricade is peppered with the scars of battle, one of the things that penetrated it is an arrow of sorts.
Also, the ground around the fallen torso is pushed up from the weight of impact. Not to mention the shattered flagstones, but intact flag still held...

More photos of this pile of junk.
Or is it a home?
Or a business?

More angles of the UFO crash.
From each end you can see how the UFO crashed through the concrete fence before coming to rest.
Around the back I added a lot of graffiti. Most of which are tributes to my regulars on my DakkaDakka blog at the time.
There is however, also a tribute to Terry Pratchett.

More angles of Hide/Shield.
Straight-on views of the walls from outside and inside.
I enjoy thinking about how this would be constructed in-universe, and consider this as I place every item.

As designed, the door for my hut kit includes a hinge and can be opened.
This allows you to see what you have placed inside, as an alternative to a removable roof... or a big hole in the wall, which you can also have with a little modelling skill.

More angles of the Junkube.
The electric/magic trails were created with a 3D printing pen and some tissue/PVA to tie it all together.
More angles of the Hut on mound piece.
While most of the structure is made from card pieces, the steps up the mound are made from slabs of dental plaster.

More angles of my Sprue hut.
These show the broken corner of the hut.

Refinery?
So named (with the ?) as it reminds me of a refinery, but I had no idea what I was building as it was built.
Scratch-built from household junk and a few kit parts.
Space Marine for scale.

Tiny hut repaint.
Found amongst unused terrain, I decided this hut needed a spruce up.
Some minor repairs but the bulk of the work was in repainting this to a "realistic" level beyond the basic one-coat it had.
At N-gauge (1:160) it was much smaller than I was used to at the time (done a lot more since), but many of the usual techniques worked fine.
Mech' workshop.
Built from scratch, using mostly card (for the exterior) and various pieces and plastic stock (to fill the interior).
Designed to fit the Infinity ttg aesthetic, and be playable.
Includes scatter terrain pieces, and removable roof for interior access.
The interior of heavily detailed, and stands as a diorama of sorts.
Szalamander pilot miniature for scale.

'nids playing 40k.
As a refresher between projects I knocked out this silly little idea. And it's proven more popular than any of my other projects every time I've shared it, now it's Mastodon's turn.
Two rippers, sporting their army colours (Dark Angels Vs Chaos space marines), with a 1:56 scale 4x8 table and an impressive terrain layout. Plus a rule book.

Broken Bell tower.
Built as a prize for my round of the League of Extraordinary Riveters Terrain contest (over on DakkaDakka).
The winner wanted a Batman ttg themed tower.
I took inspiration from the '89 Batman film with the fallen bell, and the graffiti references the Joker, Poison Ivy, and the Odessa squad (there is a dyslexia-related "typo" though).

Boxes / wooden crates.
Sculpted and cast by me to create multi-part kits.
Examples built and painted by me. Plus some additions to show what you can do with them.
