@royal
Yup. The fool was whining that the authorities should* stop/apprehend violators daily* [so that he won't do it].

Kamote
(n) ๐
#slang
(adj) stupid
(v) doing poorly [intellectually]
(n) a driver with no regard for the rules of the road
In American times here in the #Philippines, when a student did poorly the teacher would say "You better go home and plant kamote." It was mean. And it stuck.
Now the slang is commonly used to refer to bad drivers. ๐ฒ๐๏ธ๐๐

I didn't know opening a YouTube channel would be so stressful for me. It's a fun stress though!
I just opened the Antares Programming YouTube channel. I will be posting #WebDevelopment videos in #Filipino / #Tagalog. So if you're a #Pinoy dev, I hope this channel helps you. Thanks!

@royal National! ๐ถ So disappointing. I mean, they've been selling all sorts of merchandise for decades now. But there were very* few books in the store I visited today. And it's inside a major mall! ๐คทโโ๏ธ
I'm thinking of buying #Tagalog self-help educational pocket-size #books as gifts to our shuttle drivers. Ya know, something more meaningful/valuable/lasting than food or trinkets, that will contribute to self-development. Not a lot of options in that store. ๐
Gosh I didn't know a #Tagalog translation of songs from the Encanto soundtrack exists. I love it so much!

Another thing I want to add is how it can be any word really, not just verb.
For example, the term "na-Thanos" is just a noun with a past tense prefix, but it conveys so much because it generally means "to be reduced to ashes" like what people became when Thanos snapped his fingers in Avengers: Infinity War.

I saw this chart a while ago. This is chart of incorrect vs. correct usage of loan words in the past tense in Filipino. The "na-" prefix indicates past tense, and most Filipinos add the prefix even to English loan words that are already in the past tense. In such cases, the base form of the English loan word should be used with the "na-" prefix. (1/6)

It's to keep the flying buggers away.
As I started my meal, a family of 11 came in. With 4 li'l kids. The typical* kind. Kids these days. So loud and oblivious in public. No regard or respect for others sharing the space. I blame the parents.
This is typical too.
The kids speak #English.
The adults speak to each other
in #Tagalog or a mix.
And...
they speak to the kids in English.
Because...
babies are born speaking English?? ๐คจ
