@Silversalty @cwbussard @pluralistic They could just decide to #unionize and force negotiations to be actually #hired at a fixed rate - as #regulations in #Germany forced #Uber to basically work with #licensed "on-call rides" [Which unlike #Taxis ain't allowed to use #Taxi-Stands or pickup drivers from the road and are legally a mix between rental car and taxi]...

Heck even #Lieferando / #Takeaway.com pays at least minimum wage + €0,30/km to it's delivery drivers.

@mathewthomas Pretty shure they see how other delivery services like #Lieferando aka. #Takeaway.com & #Flaschenpost went to the moon and buying themselves into the Indian equicalent of #GrubHub makes sense if they can in turn flex on gastronomers to sell #CocaCola - branded softdrinks.

Just like #PepsiCo bought #KFC & #PizzaHut...

Let's hear it for the small take away chip shops that are open when all hope of finding food at other food establishments is gone. Ah the beacon of hope that is your small dingy lit up sign. Now that lockdown is over and restaurants are full, can we forget about Deliveroo unless you're a takeaway? It wrecks the customer experience for diners who have to wait longer for their meal surrounded by guys loitering with big blue bags.
