For Go Play Brisbane this year. I have put together an adventure inspired by Jurassic Park where the players will take the roles of camp counsellors at Fossil Farm. I will be utilising Tales from the Loop or more accurately Things from the Flood.

One of my oldest friends ran a scenario set in an alternate version of 1980s rural NW Germany. All of the players grew up in NW Germany. All knew each other since the mid/late 80s or early 90s. Not an encounter in the strict sense of the word, rather a moment: we played #TalesFromTheLoop and one player described, how the father of his PC (a 12 years old kid) was totally not interested in his kid and always brought him the same gift when returning from business trips. The way, the player narrated the scene was so touching, it bled from the game, still stays with me. And no: the fictional dad was in no way related to my friend‘s real dad

This year these 6-sided dice are my favorites. I used them at "Tales from the Loop" and "Brindlewood Bay". And they roll well. 😊
The great thing about them is not just the color, but that they glow in the dark. 🤩😁

Didn’t get as much #SoloRPG done while we were away as I hoped, but enough that I am happy. Although came home and started a second game. Going to run a #TalesFromTheLoop game along side the #StarWars game. Going to use #Genesys / #FFGStarWars for it as I really like the narrative dice for #SoloRPG

@jameswallis Excellent episode on #TalesFromTheLoop! It really managed to explain why I love the game.

In our campaign, one of the players played a girl who secretly identified as a boy. For months I pondered what to do with this, until I ran the third adventure in the campaign. The kids entered a time portal to the hot & humid dinosaur age, and dressed down to their underwear without thinking about it. At that point, the fact that their friend was a girl was quite obvious to the other kids.

Preordered myself a couple of #RPG books as a treat.
