My unscientific hacky user, active in the last month, counter says for the #Fediverse :

Friday: 1.78 million
Sunday = today: 1.67 million

I guess the #tapbot #twitterapi story did not lead to a significant increase in activity.

Of course, my method of counting might also be wrong. I'm just posting this as I did not see anybody else posting numbers.
