I also finally gave up on the whole Idle Game experiment. Mainly I picked up Tap Titans 2, which has some really nice production values and a bunch of interesting mechanics, and gave it a good couple of months.

When I got to the point where people were saying "Of course you're not progressing, you're not prestiging several times a day" I knew it was time to uninstall. I kinda get what appeals to people now, but it's not really my thing.
