Ok #Mathstodon, I am just starting to think about the spring semester. Whether you're #TeachingMath or #LearningMath (or both), what are some goals you have for the upcoming semester? Large or small, what are you trying to focus on?

I have two:
1. I want to build a larger list of in-class activities that reinforce the themes in Calc 1 and 2.
2. I want to change the way I administer retakes for assignments. Specifically, I want to dedicate more class time to it.

What about you?

My 8 y.o. was learning about probability at school and his teacher was getting the students to come up with examples of 0 chance/impossible.
"What example did you give?"
"Oh, I said that there is 0 chance of a volcano erupting potato gems...."

Was about to work on my school issues lap top to make sure I was ready for tomorrow. Looks like Friday before last me took initiative! I can chill tonight.
