Off to the beginning of my work week. (I work F-M at my paid job.) But I’m starting work on the IEEE handout today, so expect more use of brackets in my toots in the coming weeks.

🧵 But it’s more than that. I worked in the “adult” world before. I hated it. That’s why I went back to school. I never felt I belonged there either. It’s also the work I’m doing. It’s like my mind was built to do it. I have not felt this good in probably my whole life. Now I just have to stay focused enough to finish my homework and get out of here and hopefully find a local tech writing job. Seriously, this is the most fun I’ve had at school. :)

Citation guide discussion ahead: Met with my supervisor about my project this term (this is my paid job not my slave job). I thought I’d be tacking on the small update in the ASA, which caused them to create a whole new book 🙄, then moving on to editing the APA. Nope. She wants me to write a guide for the IEEE. I didn’t even know there was an IEEE. It’s for engineering and math apparently. I swear to god, why can’t people just all agree on one set of rules?
