A few years ago I went on a #typographic walk around #Dublin city centre, looking at the history, and places. The most fascinating area was in #TempleBar, where records of the earliest printers go back to 1500s. Fascinating to see a direct lineage from what I do, back 500 years.
Quite fancied myself in a heavy cloak, held with a chain, sword at my side, walking those same streets in heavy leather boots, with long hair and inky fingers. Dining in taverns and joining secret societies.

I just read an article titled "These Are The 10 Most Beautiful Neighborhoods In #Dublin, #Ireland" that included "#Northside" as one of the 10 entries, had a lovely picture of a harpist in St Patrick's Cathedral as the illustration for #TempleBar ("home to galleries, museums, theatres, and more!") and a photo of a sandy cove on Achill Island (Keem Bay) as the illustration for SandyCove.

@Hermitsgrove I had the brilliant good fortune to film with #JeffBuckley c. 1994 for an #RTE #JoMaxi spin off music show called #PlasticOrange (I think JB was promoting a new album). I directed a kind of music vid of 2 songs with him in #TheRockGarden, #TempleBar and it's in the archives somewhere...now there's a #treasurehunt! He was a lovely, gently guy with zero airs/graces...

@donncha I live a few minutes walk from St. Patrick's Cathedral but if I use car (rarely) it's fairly tricky (unless early Sun morning when nothing is open) to find non-expensive city parking or navigate the one way street system incl no car zones. Not knowing where yr. friends are, suggest using #googlemaps & maybe parking some place en route to friends. #Stoneybatter is northside and findable coming straight in via Heuston Station...and walkable to #TempleBar etc.
