@podfeet @drdrang I know this is late, but I was wondering whether anyone was talking about #TextExpander or #KeyboardMaestro or other #automation tools here.

In my experience, I couldn't replace TextExpander with Keyboard Maestro. For some reason, the text expansion wasn't robust enough in KM--there were apps and situations where it didn't work.

So I'm using both, along with Raycast and Spacelauncher.

I wish I had an all-in-one, but this combo does what I need.

Since I can’t vote in my own poll, I use #TextExpander and system-level text replacements.

I still wish email domains were part of #ios autocomplete (like they are in retail apps) so I have ‘@ g’ set up for gmail. Also for punctuation that’s tedious to type on the #iphone keyboard ( ss = **)

I started using TextExpander because it’s cross-platform. As a result I still don’t know what my company’s main phone number is. 😂

Also use it for repeated emails like meeting recaps.

Been listening keenly to the #OnTheReg chat about #obsidian. I love obsidian, particularly after tranferrnig from Roam. #HotTip : I don't like using community plu-ins for security reasons, but like to colour text for key points or differentialing my thoughts froms anther researcher's. I save the code for different text colours in #TextExpander (slo introduced to me via #OnTheReg), then can quickly input the code as needed. I'm also loving the new tabs to flip areound different lit notes while writing on the other side in split screen. Highly recommend for #PhD students.

It was #TextExpander. Disabling expansion or quitting the program immediately fixes the problem.
