Morning! Day 19 Eye contact Todays offering is a portrait of a Hassidic man. I follow Avi Kugielsky on Instagram (@hasidiiminusa) and he very kindly gave me permission to use his photo for this, it hangs in my living room. Sometimes something just has to be made and this is a prime example., the photo just spoke to me.

Now that I've finished this mini ryijy, I can't decide which way is its "rightway up". It's like a small snippet or sketch from a larger composition, so I know in theory which way is up, but it doesn't necessarily feel right. Which way, do you think it should go?

I’ve been here a few days now, so I suppose I should introduce myself. I’m a , a and a , living in York, UK with my son and our slightly neurotic cat, a Siamese cross called Merlin. I’ve been unable to work since 1997 because of , and I have to use a wheelchair. I also have severe and chronic , and use supplementary oxygen. I’m , so I’m still shielding. My brilliant son is my main carer.
