#EvilEmpire (Google) lays off THOUSANDS of people who depended on those jobs for 10-15-20 years. Then "goodbye" (and the "blessing" of severance) with AN AUTOMATED MESSAGE AND LOCKOUT. This isn't an externality or unintended consequence of #capitalism, it's a core function of it: become everyone's favorite provide (gain their confidence), and then screw and bilk every employee and customer for all they're worth (a con job, basically).
