I went to see #TheAmazingMaurice at #CampbeltownPictureHouse this afternoon. There's a group of intelligent rats, a boy called Keith who plays the pipes a bit & a smug talking cat called Maurice. Together they operate a scam on unsuspecting towns, in which the rats show up and are 'charmed' away by Keith, while Maurice takes the money. All wrapped up in an unfolding #TerryPratchett story. So of course it's very clever and funny. You should go and see it.

When I saw that, my near-tears broke down my cheeks. how lovely that this fun animation of one of Sir TP's stories has this tribute his fans conceived upon his passing.

From the Going Postal story, each letter has a meaning. G - send it on, N - don't log it, U - send it back. In the context of this In Memoriam line, it means our favorite author is not gone so long as we keep speaking his name and encouraging others to hear it.

I was super lucky in that I live close enough to a cinema showing #TheAmazingMaurice that I can actually see it in the theater. This is the part where you probably expect to read that I still didn't go and see it anyway because #MentalHealth, right? Well it turns out that my love for #Pratchett is one of the few things powerful enough to override my bad brain. Yes, I managed to get out to the cinema. And I'm glad I did. Thank you, #TerryPratchett.
