#TheArk feels equal parts horrible and promising.

The Ark 1x02: "Like It Touched the Sun": I remain very much on the fence with this show. Conceptually, I think there are some good ideas here. But the execution is just not very good. The acting in some scenes is painful. It all feels very cheap and forced. I want to give them time to see if there's any improvement, but to be honest, there are much better shows to be watching. #theark

I love Sci-Fi, and will give it all a go. Was looking forward to seeing #TheArk on SyFy.. That was painful to watch. Terrible script, bad acting.. and the CGI is so bad it made me laugh at one point. Wheel obstruction I'm looking at you! I know it's low budget, but they really made it look cheap.. It could be pilot episode blues. Ill wait for future episodes to see if it got better.

The Ark 1x01: "Everyone Wanted to Be on This Ship": I wanted to like this a lot more than I did. Conceptually, it should be a slam dunk. But the execution so far leaves much to be desired. I felt like everyone was struggling to deliver their lines convincingly. This needed the tone of BSG or SGU, and it doesn't come close to either of those. I'll give it a couple episodes to see if there's any improvement, though. #theark

So #TheArk sounds like it might be a fun little romp. Unfortunately, I just won't allow myself to become invested in any more #SyFy shows. That network has burned me one too many times. I'll wait until they cancel it prematurely and see if they give the writers enough notice to properly wrap it up.
