29. Given how bad my memory is, my most memorable #TTRPG encounter is usually the most recent. 😉

A few others stand out, though, like throwing rice at Dracula's wedding (#DraculaDossier for #NightsBlackAgents), then swooping in—and dismally failing—to stake him as he stooped to count the grains, or reliving my character's bizarre teenage sexual encounters with things from beyond the Veil as part of #TheBetween's mask mechanic.

Tolerant fellow players really ARE a gift. 💕

8. My favourite character? A three-way tie:

• Poor Cosmo Portwine, the #DCCRPG halfling, such a giving soul that he laid down his life for his friends, but when they checked his body, he’d sacrificed too much Luck to revive. 😢

• Neil Ditchitt, the opiate-addicted ex-lawyer in #TheBetween (https://www.gauntlet-rpg.com/the-between.html), from a family of witches, who courted spirits via increasingly extreme acts of self-harm.

I played in an AMAZING game of "The Between" earlier today at #MagpieGames monthly Community Play Day.

The Between is a narrative-focused #TTRPG by Jason Cordova about a group of mysterious monster-hunters in Victorian London. Published by #GauntletRPG.

My character was "Wild" Rose Larabee [The American], a pistol-packing, monster-hunting cowgirl from Wyoming with a mysterious past and a strange curse.

It was a fantastic game!

Yesterday's #ttrpg with my kids was Agents of the Odd (#intotheodd hack) + mystery system from #TheBetween / #BrindlewoodBay, playing the "Moon's Haunted" scenario by iamatrex on itch.io.

Marks the first time I've ever actually finished a one-shot IN ONE SESSION with my kids (9yo doesn't always help with quick gameplay).

The "answer" to the mystery is for the players to determine in play, but in our case the moon WAS, in fact, haunted, which led to a scene Very Close to the original meme.

Un gruppo di cacciatori di mostri tenta di rimettere le cose a posto nella città di El Paso, Texas, tra gli anni Sessanta e Ottanta del Diciannovesimo secolo.

Stasera ho scoperto dell’esistenza di “The Between: Ghosts of El Paso” (Daniel Qualls & Jason Cordova, 2022).

Si tratta di una hack di “The Between”, un gioco di cacciatori di mostri nella Londra dell’età vittoriana. In “Ghosts of El Paso”, invece, i cacciatori sono impegnati a cacciare mostri e fantasmi a El Paso, Texas, durante i giorni del vecchio e pazzo West.

Adesso sono molto curioso di provarlo. 🤩
