But I'm here to say that there's just not enough love in the Galaxy for Danny Trejo as the rancor trainer talking about the witches of Dathomir riding them through forest and fen. This fleeting scene is such a highlight of the series. Also, I want the series that features the Night Sisters of Dathomir riding rancors through forest and fen. But it's absolutely necessary that Danny Trejo as the rancor trainer is the narrative device through which the story is told.

Luke Skywalker, the dude who left Yoda because "my friends need me" giving Grogu the ultimatum made me so mad! Like, the Jedi failed, they failed even before you were born, Luke, and you're going to go against even your own story to recreate that shite? Did you not hear Ahsoka say "I'm an old FRIEND of the family."??? Jedi can't have friends now? Fuck you, Luke, fuck you and the tauntaun you rode in on! The Jedi need to die and I look forward to hearing more about it. Grogu did the right thing, and when he's the most powerful Jedi-Mandolorian wielding the dark sabre, I look forward to him hunting the last of them down. Fucked, you are, Jedi! Fucked, you are.

That could have been all kinds of wrong white without him. BIPOC casting allows more stories to get told, and they have a better chance at landing when the text, the subtext and the meta text are all pointing in the same direction.
Regardless, that ep.was a bold choice.

I finally got around to writing about #Andor now that the #StartWars series has ended its first season. I had a lot to say especially with how it expands the Star Wars universe and doesn't rely on legacy character cameos in the way that #TheMandalorian and #TheBookOfBobaFett has done so.
